Winners
The twenty-sixth annual Quigley match was held on June 17th and 18th with over 640 shooters in attendance, 61 first time shooters. Saturday’s winds made Sunday’s breezes a welcome change.
The Quigley Champion this year was Dave Gullo of Ponderay ID, with 6 hits on offhand, 7 hits each on the Buffalo, target 4 and 5, 8 hits each on target 2 and 3, for 43 out of a possible 48 hits.
The top ten overall shooters were, for second place was a tie between with Glen Kapitze ,who shot a traditional Ballard ,of Miles City Mt and Dave Gamble of Forsyth, Mt, they both had finished with 38 hits each had 7 on offhand but Glen had 7 on the buffalo to Dave’s 6 , putting Dave in 3rd place.Dave was also 1st place senior man. The 4th place through 9th place all had 37 hits do to tiebreaker here is the results, Mark Pachares of Cheyenne WY also 1st place man, was 4th, Dick Savage of San Tan Valley, AZ ,also 2nd place senior man was tied for 5th place with Paul Lawrence, also the International Champion three years in a row, and 1st in White Buffalo from Raymore, SK, Canada. Finishing 7th place was Todd Townsend of Newton, IA, 2nd place man. 8th place and 3rd place man was Wes Daems of Ennis Mt. 9th place was Linda Clendenen, also Crazy Cora, with 36 hits of Amidon, ND, and 10th was Dexter Smith had 36 hits from Sidney, NE (Pictured above).

We had thirteen International shooters Australia (4), Canada (3), Germany (3), Great Britain (1), CzechRepublic (1) and Slovakia (1). Paul Lawrence of Raymore, SK, Canada is International Champion three years in a row, with a score of 37.
Our Middle of the Pack shooters were 1ST Bob Engelbach, Powell, WY , 2ND Link Smith, and 3rd Billy Burnham, Senora, TX all with a score of 19.
Youth shooters this year for Small Fry (12 years and under) 1st place Levi Weyerts with 31 hits, 2nd Drew Kalus, WY with 21 hits, and Sadie Burnham, Dripping Springs, TX with 18 hits. Youth shooters (13 -16 years), 1st place was Cash Clendenen, Spearfish, SD with 34 hits, 2nd Rylie Harris with 33 hits and 3rd place to Christy Derenberger of Forsyth Mt with 28 hits.
Our Top Lady shooter was Linda Clendenen with 36 hits, earning her the title of Crazy Cora again. The top shooter in Ladies was DewAnn Smith, Sidney, NE with 36 hits, she had 3 on offhand to Linda’s 5hits , and place Brianna Sage, Gurley,NE, with 33 hits and 3rd to Penny Thompson, Billings, MT with 26 hits. Senior Ladies (Granny Cora) class has 1st, as Chris Steinmetz, Yakima, WA with 25 . Great Granny Cora was Lora Davis, Rathdrum, ID with 19 hits.
In special rifle competition, Lever action rifle was Bill Clendenen 35 hits, Original Trapdoor was Bob Havens with 26 hits and Traditional Ballard Glen Kapitze with 38 hits. Scoped Rifle has two places this year 1st was J.D. Farmer, Louviers CO with 37 hits and 2nd was Jim Rodebaugh, with 34 hits.

Top Father-Son were Bill and Cash Clendenen with a score of 69 and Top Father-Daughter were Pat and Christy Derenburger, Forsyth Mt, with 60 hits. Three Generation winners were Butch ,from Amidon, SD ,Bill and Cash Clendenen ,of Spearfish SD with a score of 96. They will be retired now as this is the second win for them.
The White Buffalo Winner was Paul Lawrence with 37 hits, 2nd place Mark Sackett of Sheridan, WY with 33 hits, and 3rd Pat Taylor, Payson, AZ.
