Items of note for Quigley veterans who have seen this flyer so often that they don't really read it any more...
I am soliciting volunteers for the "Quigley Weather Committee." It's obvious between flood and drought that I am failing in this significant component of the match. Please contact me if you are willing to serve.
If you registered for Quigley 2011 and didn't have a chance to get a refund and wanted one, we have a list of the shooters that registered. If you are a “flood year” vet and missed last year's match you are welcome to shoot for free in 2013.
Depending on the number of shooters (650+) we may shoot 3 targets each day to ensure enough daylight on Saturday. Please be prepared to stay later on Sunday if necessary.
The Quigley Knife Show is on again for this year on Friday evening.
If you are an experienced Quigley shooter and have an interest in serving as a range officer please let me know. We will have twelve of them again this year so that each group can rotate independently through the targets.
Standard gun safety procedures dictate that antique rifles be inspected by a knowledgeable person to ensure their reliable and safe operation. Please comply. Also black powder loads are strongly recommended for all antique rifles. We do not have the means or intent to inspect shooter equipment or loads. Please be safe.
There will be no "all off-hand" category this year. We have established use of off-hand stands at the #6 target for improved rifle handling safety. Since we have no stands at the other target stations we have decided to require all shooters to shoot in a cross-stick position at targets 1 thru 5.
There is updated information about how Sharon Matney is getting along on the "Accident Update" page of this website
Hope to see you on the Q flat in June.
